A Year of Blogging

It has come to my attention that it was on this day last year that I started this blog. It has been an interesting experience maintaining a blog and has enabled me to widen my horizons. So on this occasion, I am going to be reviewing what I have written about in my blog over the past year.

I have covered some of the new, interesting and exciting scientific developments (I am saddened to say I have not been able to do this recently.. Hopefully I can resume this facet of my blog sometime soon!), such as the discovery of a hidden formula of Pi found by doing quantum mechanical analysis of a hydrogen atom. I have also written about some of the scientific and mathematical concepts covered in our course of study such as the Quadratic formula, the Solar constant and more.

However, the main highlight has been my coverage of the New Horizons mission, which rendezvoused with the dwarf planet Pluto in July, with closest approach taking place on July 14, 2015. I feel privileged to have been a part of such a historic event in the exploration of our Solar System and the Cosmos. I have also written about my feelings, disappointments and activities, which might have not been that fun to read!

So what has blogging taught me? It has taught me to share my thoughts, feelings and ways of learning easily. It has provided me with a platform to help my friends. Moreover, it has given me a way to improve my writing abilities so that I could prepare myself in this judgmental world of ours. In fact, blogging has brought out character traits from deep within me that I never thought were there.

For me, blogging is an adventure, regardless of the number of people who view and follow my blog. I hope I will continue to blog for years to come and that I will be able to share my tips, feelings, strategies, shortcuts and information with you all.
