More Mountains in Pluto’s Heart!

New pictures that arrived in the wee hours of today morning here in Nepal (unfortunately, I have not been able to update recent happenings due to my busy schedule) depict the presence of a second mountain range on Pluto’s now famous “Heart”. It lies some 110 kilometers away from the Norgay montes.

This region is thought to be billions of years old, as opposed to the Sputnik planum which is very young at only a hundred or less than a hundred million years old. This indicates that some form of tectonic activity might be prevailing on the tiny dwarf planet, which is providing us with mysteries at the speed of light!
